Private Sport Shop
Business needs
The Private Sport Shop website was based on a heavily modified version of PrestaShop 1.4, making maintenance and migration difficult. The front-end, which had become obsolete, was replaced by a Lumen application connected directly to the database, enabling the integration of modern solutions such as Elasticsearch and Redis to improve performance. The PrestaShop back office was retained solely for content management. PSS therefore needed a team with expertise in both legacy versions of PrestaShop and recent technologies to strengthen its teams.
Expertise mobilized
– TMT proposed a team of two resources with expertise in the early versions of Prestashop (1.2), which was a requirement of the client. The team performed these functions to maintain the site by responding to requests for bug fixes and new features on the Prestashop back office or the Lumen front end.
– As a Prestashop partner, TMT provides ongoing training for teams on Prestashop to improve their skills in the new versions of Prestashop while adhering to best development practices.
Our approach
We adopted an approach based on close collaboration with Dekuple’s internal teams, particularly project managers and lead developers. This integration enabled us to gain a thorough understanding of their challenges, contribute effectively to the achievement of objectives, and establish a lasting relationship of trust.
The solution implemented
Among the projects carried out for Dekuple, we can mention:
- Third-party application maintenance (TMA) and the development of existing applications.
- Participation in the Symfony-based redesign of a new version that was abandoned.
